55: 2013 Passager Poetry Contest

I was seven when I composed my first poem, and I was in bed at the time (still do my most productive work there!). I called my mother to recite it to her, and she wrote it down. A doting aunt saw it later and sent it to The Southern Churchman, who published it. In my own small mind, this made me a professional poet and changed my life.
