Four virtual sessions with award-winning author Barbara Morrison
In this online workshop, you’ll begin transforming your lived experiences into compelling stories. Using readings and guided writing sprints, you’ll explore techniques for memoir writing and practice applying them in a supportive environment.

MATERIALS
This course uses memoir selections by Passager authors as models for your own writing. All materials are provided digitally.

1 hour per week outside of class
WHO SHOULD TAKE THIS WORKSHOP?
No prior writing experience is necessary—open to anyone age 50 and older who loves to write or wants to get started. Class size is limited to 10 participants to ensure an engaging experience.
ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR
Barbara Morrison, writing as B. Morrison, is a writer, editor, and teacher. She is the author of an award-winning memoir, Innocent: Confessions of a Welfare Mother. Praised by Hillary Clinton and others, Innocent’s audiobook was named Best Nonfiction Audiobook by Independent Press Awards in 2023. Barbara is also the author of two poetry collections, Terrarium and Here at Least. Her work has appeared in anthologies and literary journals such as Passager, Little Patuxent Review, Toronto Journal, and elsewhere.
